Ferrari debuted an updated Roma this week with so many revisions that it deserved a new name: Amalfi. The front-mid engine, rear-wheel grand tourer fixes many complaints that we had with the Roma. Buttons return to the steering wheel, in lock-step with other brands ditching haptic steering wheels, and the front grille is now beautifully integrated instead of looking hideous. The new front end adopts a cleaner look that recalls its stablemates while the rear is similarly cleaned up and simplified. Power comes from a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 631 horsepower, up from 611 in the Roma. Ferrari says that the new engine revs faster then before, reaching a redline 100 rpm higher, though torque remains unchanged. The Amalfi will go on sale next year at a beginning price of $275,000.
